T O P I C R E V I E WKen HavekotteWhile cleaning up some of my older space files and folders in cabinets, I came across something I had not seen before.Does anyone collect paper models of aerospace company missiles, rockets and spacecrafts?I've got a few of them, however, this one was produced way back in 1964 for the NASA-Grumman Orbiting Astronomical Observatory (OAO). It's never been assembled and is still inside its original paper model container. At the bottom of the backside of the package container is the Grumman company logo with the text "Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corp., Bethpage, New York."For any avid/cS paper model collectors, is this one of the earlier space-related paper models (this one from 1964)?blastr42That sounds like a cool model. Can you post any pictures of the sheets?Ken HavekotteThanks for the interest and will post some images soon.
